I really enjoyed this book. This was the first I read of the Montgomery brothers and it could definitely be read as a stand alone. I thought the story was nice and sweet. Sometimes I felt like it focused on more than just the main characters but it is a book about a family so I understood that. Overall, it was a good book and I enjoyed it.

Samantha Chase is one of my very favorite authors. Truly I haven't read a book of hers that I haven't loved. However, I am very fond of the Montgomery's. The Montgomery's were my introduction to Samantha. I fell in love with this family from the very first book I read.

It's the same feeling you get from your family. When you are away you can't wait for them to come home, and every time they do you realize how very much you love them. A true test of a great author is someone who writes so well that you can imagine being part of their family. You love the characters with their flaws, their humor and the wonderful hearts. You laugh out loud, yell at them, and cry with them. When your done your heart is full and you can't wait to get together again. You grow with them share with them, and wish you actually lived with some of them. You will never go wrong reading a book by Samantha Chase.
The Beautiful and eclectic Summer Montgomery is the only girl in her family. She has three older brothers, who needless to say are very protective of her. No guy is ever good enough for her. Summer has had a huge crush on her brother Zach's best friend Ethan since she was little. So when the opportunity presents itself she makes a move for Ethan and shows him how she feels about him.
Ethan is an only child and has known the Montgomery family since he was a kid. He is also the Vice President of their Portland office. He has had feelings for Summer for a long time, but was unaware of her feelings for him. Not that he intended to act on those feelings because her family would not be happy with him.
So Once Summer makes her move on Ethan they have to decide if it should be a one time thing or if it was something worth fighting for.
This book is so sweet. I loved the characters and the story line. It is also a great intro to the main characters for the next book I'll Be There.
So far this has been a fine read. I would recommend this for either right- before- bed, or on the beach, a quiet afternoon, etc. There are quite a few dynamic features to the story line. A few twists and tunes, and the characters are pretty well developed. There are a few parts that could be edited slightly better, but I do know most authors on here prefer for their readers to help them out in this aspect.
It was not hard reading by any means, but it was also not an elementary level book. Be prepared for some love scenes. But honestly, sometimes they do add to the storyline, right?
I hope to either purchase more in this series (if there is one) or get the author motivated to write more! Not that this was left with just a cliffhanger or anything, I have just loved how the storyline was developed, and would love to know where this could head into the future. Knowing how the characters have developed, interacted, and have grown leaves me with a lot of hope for more. I always love series/ books where there is a spin- off into a similar setting, but with acquaintances that the characters had, or will have.
Overall, this is a great value and I would highly recommend it. It is a great value for the price, and it simply cannot be beat! I will be purchasing more from this author in the future, and look forward to new releases.
Summer Montomery wasn't about to let anyone boss her around. She wanted to be taken serious.
Her brother Zach just treated her like she didn't know what she wanted to do with her life, ok maybe she didn't. She would eventually. The thing that scared her right now was he was going to go on a big climb. Zach was so stubborn he couldn't be wavered by her demands to not go. They fought all the time. So she just needed away from him. Well now Zack was pissed. His best friend, and VP of his company Ethan Reed volunteered to track her down.

Once Ethan found Summer one thing led to another and well they figured it was a one time thing. Ethan went back because he was going on the climb with Zack. But in the last minute didn't work that way.
A situation presented itself with Ethan, Summer, and Gabriella all in Fair Banks, Alaska. It was clear the attraction between Zack and Summer was far from over.

An unforeseen accident and all the family is waiting for news. It brings much anxiety between the family. Plus Ethan and Summer. Can they overcome it?

Highly Recommend this series. So good.

One of my favorite parts was when Summer proved to her family, brother, and Ethan she could do something worthy for the family company.
The previous books had mentioned Summer but as very flighty and just in passing...this book, her story, will completely change that perception of her! She rocks! I love how her journey leads her to standing up for herself in love and with family. I was not the biggest fan of Ethan for much of this story, but by the end I appreciate the journey he went on to become who thought he should be...and how he concludes their story for this book is pretty

This story also builds more on the differences between William and Robert, but also shows Robert starting to think about how his children feel about him. Williams persona is fantastic and I love how with each book it develops even further. SC has created another family and series that is full of dynamic personalities that come together as a full and loving family, but also relatable bc nothing is perfect and everyone has their own concerns, struggles, triumphs and emotions. Fantastic read and I love their story!
