I really enjoyed this book. I found it hard to put down. The characters were great. The author did a really good job at describing how the characters felt about everything from the incident that happened to Lexi all the way to Megan and Lexi's strong friendship. She didn't leave anything to wonder about when the story ended. It was nice to read a book that ended perfectly and not with a cliffhanger.
Again, I love this author.. This type of stories are my type!! I loved it. Just like her other book, Guarded Heart, I also enjoyed this.

While I'm reading the first part and the mid-part of this book, I'm a real mess.. I was so affected of how their relationship will go and what will happen next. I hope there would be a part 2 of their story. I want to know more what will happen next in their relationship and whether they are really for each other (wedding, babies and all)..
I gave this book 5 stars and here's why
I love the story between Lexi and Kole, I love how they weren't really strangers to begin with. Their broken past seemed to bring them together, their love for each other was the only thing that could save them. I also loved that the book was written so that you could see into each characters point of view. I highly recommend this book, you will not be disappointed in this story. Well done ) thank you for taking me on that journey
What an amazing story. A very good page turner. I loved everything about it! Definitely not a waste of time!
Lexi wants to start fresh at college and put her past behind her. Instead she sees Kole from her past the first night out. Kole notices Lexi and can't get her out of his mind. He pursues her until her learns her secret and than he wants to help her work past the pain that she went through. Kole seems like a great guy and is trying really hard with Lexi. Lexi decides she needs to straighten her life out and starts working on that with help from her best friend, Megan.
I am a huge fan of C A Harms. This book is phenomenal in talking about a real life issue that many women deal with and don't know how to cope. Bravo C A Harms for tackling such a topic and possibly helping someone else who has been in this position. I will no say the topic as I don't want to give away the book - but in true CA Harms fashion she moves you with her words. I loved this book - can't wait to finish the series!
Okay so a couple things to note before I start my review. I did not realize that Lexi & Kole's story continues in a second book. This book does not end on a cliffhanger though so technically it could be read as a standalone but it did leave me feeling a little unfulfilled so I was happy to see that there is a second book about these two. Overall this book was enjoyable. I am a HUGE fan of C.A. Harms and buy anything and everything that she puts out. I really love her writing and the feelings that she so easily portrays through her characters and their interactions. On top of that she writes some of the greatest heroes! Having said that this was probably one of my least favorite of her books (not to say it was bad but not nearly as good as her others). I loved the premise of this book but the whole thing felt very rushed to me and there was not nearly enough character development. Lexi's transition from broken and fearful to trusting and open to Kole happened way too fast and left me with a bit of whiplash. The end was buttoned up way to quickly and things just weren't fleshed out enough for me. As I mentioned their story does continue on in the next book "Conquer" (which also comes out this month) so that is a plus and hopefully we will be able to see a bit more from these two.
So hot, so steamy, so passionate!!!

How does one get over a horribly traumatic experience? Do the look to the bottle? Do they turn to someone else? Do they get lost and become a shell of their former selves? Well Lexi did all of the above. She felt responsible even though none of it was her fault. She was lost and didn't know how to get back, not that she felt like she even wanted to. She went through life not really living, simply pretending to move through the paces.

That is until her and her best friend/ roommate went to a Frat party and she ran into Kole. Kole was a family friend while she was growing up; their mothers were good friends which led to them spending much time together as youngsters. Lexi and Kole had both grown up and changed quite a bit; Lexi had a crush on Kole as a little girl and it seems now the roles have reversed.

Kole felt a strong physical attraction to Lexi from the time he laid eyes on her in the Frat game room, and she also felt something. But she wouldn't allow herself to let anybody in, let anyone get closer to her; expect Megan and her boyfriend Radley. They admired each other from afar for awhile before finally taking that next step and forming a relationship. It seems that demons from the past tend to sneak up and bite when you least expect it and this caused much strife between Lexi and Kole.

"Remembering is Painful" and "Forgetting is Impossible" sums up the way Lexi felt and how she was living. But with the help of Kole she slowly learned how to stand on her own two feet again. The love that the two of them developed was so strong that nothing could come between them, unless it was Hope.

*As someone who can relate to the story I have to admit I found it very moving.*
